Further Information About HARTWELL Frederick Thomas
Frederick Hartwell was born on 31st August 1893, the son of Daniel Hartwell. He attended Badsey Council School from 2nd April 1900 until 17th September 1906. In the Badsey parish magazine of December 1914 an extract from a letter sent by Private F.T. Hartwell has been printed. The November 1916 magazine reports that Lance Sergeant Frederick Thomas Hartwell of the Worcestershire Regiment, son of Mrs D. Hartwell was killed on 9th October by a shell which burst in the entrance to his dug out. The report contains further information and extracts from letters sent to his mother.
