Further Information About HART Frederick Lawrence

Frederick Hart lived in Lye and enlisted in the Worcesters. He was transferred to the 16th Battalion of the Welsh Regiment, probably after return from injury, and was then attached to the 115th Trench Mortar Battery. They fought in the Third Battle of Ypres at Langemarck and then moved to the less active front line near Armentieres. Private Frederick Hart was killed in action probably in consequence of enemy shelling.
