Edwin Harrington was born on 13th April 1879 in Worcester. He entered Form 3 Kings School in May 1891. He had previously been educated at Cumberland House. Edwin became a Kings Scholar in 1893 and he left the school from Form V at Easter 1895. His father is recorded as Henry Haines Harrington, Vernview, Battenhall. His younger brother, Charles Henry Harrington also attended Kings School.
