A letter from Harold’s mother, E.M. Hargr(e)aves, 72 Spetchley Rd, Worcester dated 3rd March 1950 can be found within war records held at Worcestershire Archives requesting that his name be added to the county roll of honour.  The letter states that Trooper H.L. Hargr(e)aves, 46th Battalion, Royal Tank Regiment was killed at El Alamein on 28th October 1942.  A one pound donation to the War Memorial Fund was also enclosed according to the letter.
