David William Hambling was born in 1876 in Withington, Gloucestershire. In 1911, aged 35, he was resident in Bushley with his wife Ethel and their 3 young children. He served as Private 246097, Labour Corps formerly Private 16281, Gloucestershire Regiment. He went to France on 29th June 1915. David Hambling died in Cheltenham in 1939 aged 63.
