Herbert Guimbeau was born on 11th November 1925. He entered Form MIV, Kings School in May 1941. At the time of his admission to the school his parent is recorded as A.G., Tetshill Farm, Neen Sollars, Salop. Herbert had previously been educated at Ecole St Joseph, Poitiers, France. He left Kings School in July 1943. He was killed whilst serving with the French Free Forces. His brother, Michael Guimbeau, born on 5th August 1927 also attended Kings School.
