George Grimsby is listed in the Upton News Pro Patria Mori section of 20th January 1918 as resident at Longdon Heath.

The 1st Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment were in trenches West of High Wood (Somme) from 20th to 27th August 1916.  “The shell fire suffered by the Battalion was unexampled in the history of the Regiment.”
