Further Information About GITTUS Henry
Henry Gittus was a friend of William Perkins who was also a casualty of the Great War. They lived almost next to each other in Garden Cottages, Marlbrook Lane, Sale Green. The pair enlisted together in the Grenadier Guards at Worcester on 16th November 1914. Henry was 31 years of age and employed as a farm labourer. He was posted to France on 15th August 1915 and spent 3 years fighting before being killed in action in 1918.
