Bromsgrove Weekly Messenger, 5th May 1917:
Son of James Franks, Hanbury Road, Stoke Heath.  Died on April 15th of wounds received the previous day.  In his 24th year.  On active service since January 1916. Wounded in August last year and returned to France in December.  Worked in Birmingham and previously at Bromsgrove Brewery.  Leaves a widow and child.  The report includes a photograph of Arthur Franks.
