Killed in action on 14th July 1916 in an attack on an enemy front and support line running between Longueval and Delville Wood.  Gains held and consolidated, casualties – about 400.

Appears in the Worcester/Worcestershire Roll of Honour Book for army casualties located in Worcester Cathedral.

Freeman Farley has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on Thiepval Memorial.
