A news report of 29th December 1917 announced the following:
Lieut-Commander B.M. Eyres-Monsell, R.N., M.P. for the South Worcestershire Division, has received the decoration of Officer of the Order of the Nile from the Sultan of Egypt.

Bolton Eyres-Monsell died in London on the 21st March 1969.
