The following information has been researched and transcribed by The Black Country Society:
Samuel Eggenton lived at Stourbridge and by the outbreak of war he was married to Marion.  He enlisted in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, but either from wounds or sickness he returned home.  He died on the 13th August 1941 and was buried in Kidderminster Cemetery.
