Further Information About EDWARDS William

William Edwards first entered a theatre of war with 4th Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment, at Gallipoli on 7th August 1915.  He was killed in the Suvla Bay front, where the Battalion occupied trenches to the NE of the Salt Lake and had many casualties from Turkish snipers.

He was awarded a 1914/15 Star, a British War Medal and a Victory Medal.
