Thomas Eades was born at Bromsgrove in 1882.  Prior to enlisting at Bromsgrove he was employed as a postal worker

Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger, 19th October 1916:
Private Thomas Eades, Labour Company of the Royal Berkshire Regiment and third son of Mr and Mrs J Eades of 24, Hanover Street, has been killed in action.  Private Eades, who was single and 36 years of age, joined up two years ago last March and went to France in the Spring of 1917.  Prior to joining the forces, Private Eades was employed at the Post Office, Bromsgrove and will also be remembered as marker on the Whitford Range.
