Medal Index Card:
Issachar Dutton enlisted as Gunner 48588 with the 15th Brigade Royal Field Artillery. He went overseas on 19th August 1914 qualifying for the 1914 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. He was promoted to Sergeant before being commissioned as a Second Lieutenant with the Royal Field Artillery on 1st December 1917. Issachar Dutton was posted missing on 21st March 1918. At some point the name Joseph was added in front of the name Issachar – all his medals were returned after being issued in order for the initials to be amended accordingly.
