J.A. Dodd, General Service, new recruits – Kidderminster Times 6th November 1915.
Information in All Saints Church, Wilden states that John was killed in action in France between 28th May and 18th June 1918, aged 21, ‘No trace’ of burial.
Born at Bloxwich and enlisted at Kidderminster. On the 18th June, the 10th Worcesters were in defensive positions near Chanter eine Farm, on the Montagne de Bligny to Chambrecy road.
John Dodd has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on the Worcestershire Regiment Panel on Soissons Memorial.
