Denzil Davies had only been married 3 months before his death. His parents lived at Cromer house, 3 Corbett Street. He had worked at Lloyds Bank, Bournville before volunteering for the RAF. He had trained S. Africa. He was a keen tennis player and was a member of the Droitwich Club. Pilot Officer Davies was one of 7 crew members of a Lancaster bomber on a bombing raid on the town of Braunschweig. They were shot down by a night fighter near the town of Vechta.
