Born, May 17th, 1889. Died December 5th, 1918.
H. B. Davey was the youngest son of the late Mr. H. Davey, of Stephenson Terrace, Britannia Square, Worcester. He entered the School in the first form from Miss Robson’s Tredennyke in January, 1900, and left from the Fifth in April, 1906, to take up Press work. He was a boy of much humour and undeniable histrionic gifts, and popular with his school fellows. He joined the Public Schools Battalion, and subsequently served for two years as an officer in the South Wales Borderers, and was recuperating from the strain at Mattock when pneumonia following influenza proved fatal.

Hubert Burgoyne Davey, occupation: soldier, resident Stephenson Terrace, Claines, died in Matlock, Derbyshire. He was buried in consecrated ground in Astwood Cemetery on 10th November 1918, aged 29 years. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend C. Chaytor.
