Born, September 12, 1892. Killed in France, August 15, 1917.
Norman Darby, the second son of the late Mr. J. Darby, of The Gables, Pedmore, Stourbridge, entered the Lower School and Castle House in May, 1903.  After five years he left for business in Birmingham, where he was doing well when the war broke out.  He enlisted in a Birmingham City Battalion, and after serving in France received a Commission in the Manchester Regt.  He was killed in action in France during the fighting round Messines.
