Debenham Stuart Coombs, occupation: army medical, resident Queens Club Gardens, London W., died in the Middlesex Hospital, London. He was buried in Astwood Cemetery on 5th November 1918, aged 27 years, Dissenter. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend S. Wallis Frost.

Lieutenant Coombs was the younger son of Dr & Mrs Wellesley Coombs of Foregate Street, Worcester. He attended Worcester Royal Grammar School from 1907 to 1908, prior to that he attended Miss Robson’s School. He married a girl from Northampton and was studying to become a dentist prior to the war. After being wounded in 1917 he became involved in Army medical work. He died in the Middlesex and Dental Hospital, London from Spanish Flu.
