Further Information About COOK John Joseph Gravenall

John Cook studied agriculture and was under military age when he volunteered.  In the early stage of the great offensive, his left knee was shattered by a shell.  His leg was amputated in a military hospital at Dover, but he succumbed to his wounds and pneumonia there.  Known as Gray Cook, he was a member of the choir, which his father has served for the past 25 years.
