Berrow’s Worcester Journal, Saturday 4th November 1944:
Private Percival William Collett, of the 1st Airborne Division, has been posted missing in North-West Europe. Official news to this effect has been received by his wife, who lives in Station Road, Wadborough. The eldest son of Mr and Mrs W.T. Collett, of “The Lodge,” Stoulton, Worcester, Pte. Collett is 21 years of age and fought in the Sicilian and Italian campaigns. He joined the Royal Warwickshire Regiment in April, 1941, and a few months later transferred to the Airborne troops.

A letter from the Reverend Trevor Morgans, Stoulton Vicarage, dated 1st May 1950 can be found within war records held at Worcestershire Archives requesting that Private Percival William Collett, 1st Airborne Division, South Staffordshire Regiment, be added to the county roll of honour.
