Frank Cole was born in 1893 in Evesham, the son of Charles and Sarah Cole nee Westwood of 15 Oat Street, Evesham.  His name is registered as Frank Cole in the September Quarter 1893 under the Evesham Registration District, his second name was obviously a later unregistered addition.  Frank enlisted at Evesham and went to France on 16th August 1914. Prior to enlisting he was employed as a gardener.
