Frank Coker enlisted in the Royal Army Medical Corps for the duration of the war on 22nd November 1915 at the Central Recruiting Office, Broad Street, Worcester. He was resident at 17 Burrish Street, Droitwich, gave his age as 25 years 10 months and his occupation as a Clerk. Frank was 5 feet 8¼ inches tall. His next of kin is given as his aunt, Clara Onions, 17 Burrish St, Droitwich, Worcestershire. He embarked for France for Southampton on 19th June 1916, arriving in Rouen on 20th June 1916. He was posted to the 12th Field Ambulance in the field on 28th June 1916. Frank died on 2nd July 1916 from wounds received in action. His aunt, Clara Onions, acknowledged receipt of the British War and Victory Medals in respect of his service on 2nd June 1921.
