Malvern News, 19th August 1916:
Mrs Chant of Elm Cottage, Upper Howsell, Malvern Link has received information that her husband, Cpl Leonard Chant, Worcestershire Regiment has been killed in action on 10th July 1916. He leaves nine children. The deceased enlisted in November 1914.
