Sergeant Pilot John Henry Bye, age 20 serving with the Royal Air Force was buried in consecrated ground in Pershore Cemetery on 29th January 1942.  The ceremony was performed by the Reverend J.R. Rycart, R.A.F. Station, Marston Moor, Yorkshire.
