On the 20th April 1941 Richard Burt was on a training flight with his instructor, Flying Officer Burke, in Tiger Moth N6607 when the aircraft hit a tree at Napton-on-the Hill, Warwickshire. F/O Burke was killed, Richard Burt died of his injuries later that day.
