The following are the names of those who volunteered on Thursday for Service with the colours:- Tom Berrow, Willie Bullock, Louis Grosvenor, Christopher Grosvenor, George Saunders, Tom Shaw and Edward Pethwick. The six accepted ones have joined the 6th Battalion Worcester Regiment and have as their adjutant Captain U.P. Vigors. They will form a nice little family party. !!!!!!!

The War – On August 22nd William Bullock died in France from severe wounds received on the 19th, scarcely three months after the death of his brother Charles. He was one of our early volunteers, and had for nearly three years faithfully served his King and Country. Two sons is a heavy toll from one family, and everyone is full of sympathy for their bereaved parents. Amidst the sorrow and sadness of it all there comes a certain sense of pride that they were counted worthy to die in so noble a cause. A Memorial Service was held on Sunday, September 9th.
