Further Information About BUDDEN Frederick Thomas
Frederick Budden was the second son of Frank Gardiner Budden and his wife Sarah Annie Budden.
Frank Budden was born in Cornwall in 1873. Sarah Annie Lloyd was born in Upton in 1873 and was the daughter of Daniel Lloyd who was the landlord of The Talbot public house. Frank and Sarah Annie married in the Droitwich registration district in the December quarter of 1894. Their first son Frank Rendall Budden was born in Upton in 1895. Frederick was born in Hay on Wye in 1899. Frank Rendall Budden, the elder son, died in 1903 and his father in 1904. At the time of the 1911 Census Sarah Annie Budden was living back in Upton.
On 2nd September 1918, the 16th Battalion Royal Warwicks were in 15 Brigade, 5th Division. Frederick Budden was probably killed in the attack on Beugny and Delsaux farm, and the ridge between them, East of Bapaume.
The cemetery plot is one to which bodies from a wide area were brought after the war finished, so the place of his original burial is unknown.
