Walter Bretherton served as Private, 325584, Worcestershire Yeomanry.  Formerly Private, 2992, Worcestershire Yeomanry.  He enlisted on 3rd May 1915 and was discharged as no longer physically fit for service on 7th April 1919.  He was awarded a Silver War Badge on 24th May 1919 and at a later date, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
