Further Information About BRACE Harry

Harry Brace was born in Worcester in 1895, the son of Andrew and Eliza Brace.  Andrew married Eliza Peters in Worcester in 1886 and Harry was their 2nd son and the 4th of their 8 children.  In 1911 the family lived at 17 Laslett Street, Worcester when Andrew was employed as a labourer and Harry as a moulder.  Harry enlisted in the Worcestershire Regiment in 1915 and saw active service in the Balkans from 24th August 1915.  After the Gallipoli campaign the battalion proceeded to France and by the spring of 1917 they were involved in the battle of Arras where Harry Brace was killed in action on 31st May 1917.
