Robert Bennett was born in 1920. He attended Malvern College in House 8 from 1935 to 1937.

On 7th September 1941 Robert Bennett was acting as Observer on Z.7312, one of several aircraft attacking a convoy about 4 miles west of The Hague. The aircraft took off from base at 11.30. Following the attack he and his two fellow crew members along with three other members of 226 squadron flying on Z.7306 were reported as Missing.

Robert Bennett has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on Runnymede Memorial.
