Further Information About BEDDOW Cecil Victor

N.B. the following entry appears in the Kings School magazine, however, the school memorial lists a C.V. Beddow, there is no A. or A.C. Beddow on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Soldiers Died in the Great War and none in the Dorset Regiment. The date of death appears to be accurate.

Arthur Cecil Beddow entered Castle House in May, 1909, at the age of 12, being the second son of Dr. Beddow, of Alvechurch. We parted with him with great regret in April, 1911, when his parents moved to Somerset, and he entered Blundell’s School, Tiverton. In December, 1914, he joined the Inns of Court O.T.C., and in March 1915, he obtained a commission in the Dorset Regiment, and fell fighting in the great advance on July 1st, 1916.
