Wedding at Claines
Miss H.D. Lock and Mr H.C. Barnes
The wedding took place on Saturday at Claines Church, of Miss Hilda Dorothy Lock, daughter of Mr and Mrs George Lock, 1 Blockhouse Street, Worcester, to Mr Howard Cecil Barnes, of 2 Grange Avenue, Claines, and now serving with the Forces.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a navy blue edge to edge coat, pale blue silk dress, with navy blue and white accessories; and her shower bouquet was of white chrysanthemums and Flanders poppies.
The bride was attended by Mrs N. Hughes, as matron of honour. She wore an Air Force blue coat trimmed with grey astrakan and a blue dress with navy accessories and she carried a bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums.
The service was conducted by the Rev. W.E. Harley.
A reception was held at the Cadena Cafe. The bridegroom gave the bride a cheque and the matron of honour a gold brooch.
