Further Information About BARNES Harvey

The birth of Harvey Barnes is registered in the March Quarter 1890 under the Droitwich Registration District.

An entry into Claines School log book dated 30th April 1903 reads:
Harvey Barnes was fighting on his way home. His brother came for his certificate for leaving in the evening – I could not force him to come any more or I should have punished him for he was getting a bad example to the school.

Lance Corporal H. Barnes 1st/1st Worcester Yeomanry, embarked at Avonmouth 9th April 1915 for service with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, disembarked at Alexandria, Egypt on 24th April 1915. Killed in action on 23rd April 1916.
