Further Information About BANNISTER William Henry

United Parish Magazine Shelsley Beauchamp and Walsh, March 1918:
Since our last issue the Rector has received thanks for their Christmas parcels from Seaman SJ Millward, Ptes. EW Parker, W. Bannister and T Field.

United Parish Magazine Shelsley Beauchamp and Walsh, November 1918:
The War casualty list for the last few weeks in connection with our parish has been a grievious and heavy one.  Whilst Sidney Allen is recovering from wounds, Jack Benbow is in hospital for the third time, Ernest Parker earns his second wound stripe by the loss of a leg.  Harry Lamb and George Law are also wounded.  Our list of killed has been raised to 15 by the death of Leonard Kite and William Bannister on the same day, September 29th R.I.P.

A photograph of Private W.H. Bannister of Shelsley can be found in Berrow’s Worcester Journal Supplement, Saturday 30th November 1918, available at Worcestershire Archives.
