Further Information About AUBERTIN William Aldworth
William Aubertin was born on 14th October 1880. He entered Bedford Kindergarten School on 16th September 1887 with his sister Dorothy Mary, parent: Mr Aubertin, John Dunn Clarendon Rd. Both children left the school in July 1888 to attend grammar school. He entered Bedford Grammar School in September 1888 and left in 1891.

William Aubertin attended Bromsgrove School from 1894 to 1897 where he was a school monitor and he played in the school cricket (XI) and rugby (XV) teams. In September 1914 he joined the Middlesex Public School Battalion and gained his commission in March 1915. Arriving in France in November 1915, he saw action on the Somme and near Ypres. He was invalided home in April 1917 and when recovered he was attached to No 3 Cadet Battalion, Parkhurst. In July 1918 he transferred to the Cadet Battalion in Egypt where he died of pneumonia on 20th February 1919.
