The following report appears in the Kidderminster Times, 7th April 1917:
Co. Sgt. Maj. Frederick John Allsopp, 6646, 2nd Battalion King’s Shropshire Light Infantry.  Died of wounds at Salonika on 4th March 1917.  He went out to France in June 1915 and after eight months was transferred to Salonika.  Before enlisting he was employed at Messrs. Webbs, High Street, Worcester.  His wife resides at Trotshill, Worcester.
