Robert Allen, born in 1919, was the son of Margaret Cubberley. In 1919 she married William H. Allen in the Tewkesbury Registration District (September Quarter) and the couple had at least 6 children. As well as those shown on the 1939 register they had a daughter Irene A. Allen born in 1921, a son, David J. Cubberley born in 1927 and another daughter, Margaret I. born in 1930.
