Pre 1939 George lived at Slate House, Far Forest. Son of William and Annie Booton (nee Smith), husband of Edith May Pound of Leominster. Formerly served 6 years in the 10th Royal Hussars (PWO). George was shot by a group of Arabs who approached displaying a white flag. Medals awarded:- 1939 – 45 Star, Africa Star, Defence Medal and the 1939 – 45 War Medal.
