Edward Mills was the son of Charles and Elsie Mills of Stourbridge and he was married to Winifred who later lived in Amblecote. Detachments of the Military Police served with most units and after the end of the war were involved in maintaining order among the civilian population as well as in their usual military duties. He died in Germany on the 7th June 1945.
