Further Information About TALBOT Rimell Smith

Rimell Talbot was the son of Richard and Elizabeth Mary Talbot, Mount Pleasant Farm, Elmley Lovett.  He was Assistant Master at Stourport School until the outbreak of war.  He served some time in the R.A.M.C. and was then commissioned in the Royal Field Artillery.  He was married in September 1917 to Miss Mary Griffin, second daughter of Mr H. Griffin of Stottesden (formerly of Hartlebury).  He was killed by a shell while on duty at an observation point. “He always did his duty well and was full of pluck”.  Both his brothers are on active service.
