Further Information About DAY Harry Montague

Enlisted in September 1914.

Harry Day attended Worcester Royal Grammar School from 1909 to 1912.  He was the brother of Gerald and was the second son of Ernest and Florence Day to be killed, almost exactly one year after his brother.

Harry Day enlisted as a Corporal in the 21st Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers, service number 2578.  He entered the theatre of war on 14th November 1915 and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Machine Gun Corps on 4th August 1916.  He was killed in action on 15th April 1918.
