Informing the parents of this sad event, Coy.-Quartermaster-Sergeant Walters, of the 4th Worcestershire Regiment, 88th Division-to which deceased belonged-paid a high compliment, on behalf of the officers and men, to the conduct and gallantry of Private Jarvis. The deceased was a really clever lad, and while in India received two bronze and two silver medals.
