Samuel Simmons was born at Evesham in 1885, the son of George and Alice Simmons. He married Alice Mary Cother and the couple resided at 66 Port Street, Bengeworth. Prior to enlisting at Worcester Samuel was employed as a gardener’s labourer. He went to France on 2nd May 1915.
