Appears in the Worcester/Worcestershire Roll of Honour Book for army casualties located in Worcester Cathedral, given as the Canadian Contingent.

John William Ronald Campbell enlisted as a Lieutenant in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 12th September 1914 at Levis, Quebec, Canada, shortly before his 21st birthday.  His attestation paper gives his third name as Roland, this has been amended on the second page to Ronald.  On his attestation paper John gave his date of birth as 20th September 1893 in Warblington, Hampshire, England and his next of kin as his father, General Sir William Campbell, K.C.B., of Malvern Worcestershire, England.  He had no occupation but had previously served 18 months with the Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders.  John was 6 feet tall with a fair complexion, blue eyes and fair hair.
