The death of 2534 Pte A Wright of Redditch is reported in Berrow’s Worcester Journal, Saturday 24th July 1915.

Malvern News, 24th July 1915:
Wright, 2534 Pte A. Died of spotted fever on 14th July 1915. His parents live at 150 Mount Pleasant, Redditch.

The following information has been researched by Jillian Coombes:
On the 1911 census Albert Wright aged 19, born in Redditch, Picture Frame Maker, lived with his parents Charles Edward Wright and Annie Eliza Wright and siblings at 150 Mount Pleasant, Redditch.

The Birmingham Daily Mail, Friday 23rd July 1915:
Private Albert Wright of the 8th Worcesters, aged 24, son of Mr Charles Wright, Mount Pleasant, Redditch, has died at a base hospital in France. He was one of six brothers in the forces, and a short time ago Mr Wright received a letter of congratulation from the King.

Territorial Casualties – Died of Disease – the death is notified of 2534 Private A. Wright, whose parents live at 150 Mount Pleasant, Redditch. He died of spotted fever on the 14th inst.
