The birth of Albert Edwin Jeynes is registered in the March Quarter 1897 under the Upton Registration District. He was baptised on 2nd May 1897 in St Mary’s Parish Church, Kempsey, the son of William and Annie Jeynes.

The 1911 Census shows that Arthur, aged 12, was living at The Bakery Buildings, Kempsey, with his father George, mother Eliza, and sisters Annie 15, Nellie 8 and Vera 6.
Albert Jeynes has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on Tyne Cot Memorial.
