Frank Bellamy was born on 25th March 1893, the son of Albert Edward and Ann (nee Daniel) Bellamy. He was born in Powick Asylum due to his mother’s mental state at the time of his birth and he was baptised in St Andrew’s Church, Ombersley on 14th May 1893, his father was a labourer and the family were living in Woodfield Cottages.
Frank’s parents married on 11th October 1891 in Ombersley Church:

Ann Daniel, age 26, spinster, resident Woodfield, father John Daniel, labourer. Witnessed by John Daniel and Agnes Miles.
Albert Edward Bellamy, birth registered in the March Quarter 1867, born in Ombersley (Comhampton); he died on 26th November 1941 in Ombersley.
Ann Daniel, birth registered in the June Quarter 1865 in Ombersley; her death is registered in the March Quarter 1919, she died in Powick.
Frank’s only sibling was his sister:

On the 1901 census Frank and his older sister Marion Daisy Bellamy were living at Comhampton with their father in the home of their grandparents, John and Sarah Bellamy. On the 1911 census the family still reside at Comhampton with the family consisting of Albert Edward Bellamy, aged 44, as the head of the household, his widowed mother Sarah Bellamy aged 81 and his two children Marion Daisy Bellamy aged 19 and Frank Bellamy aged 18.
F. Bellamy of Stourport, 17698 appears on the list of wounded men, Bromsgrove Weekly Messenger, 7th April 1917.
