The following information has been researched by Dave Pugh:
The names of both Albert Deakin and John Deakin are in the St Mary’s Church Memorial Book. The book shows that John Albert had a connection with Kempsey Common, but I’ve not found any census or birth records to verify this. The 1911 Census records that Albert, aged 15, brother Charles 18 and sister Victoria 13, were living at the Bakery Buildings, Kempsey, with their mother Mary Andrews and stepfather John Andrews. Stepfather and stepsons all worked as farm labourers.
Their places of birth were: John – Severn Stoke, Mary – Croome, Charles – Defford, Albert – Abbots Wood and Victoria – Clerkenleap.
